Week 9: 2-2, (50.00%)
Season: 10-6, (62.50%)
A 2-2 week last week that would’ve been 3-1 if the Colts didn’t have a 44 year old kicker who should be retired and sitting on his couch. Season numbers still strong and will look to build on it here today. No time for full write ups this week but I did include a few quick points on each play. Here is what I’m going with…
Titans (+6): I know Mahomes is great but it’s his first game back and hard for me to believe he just jumps back in there and is at 100% right away. If his mobility is limited he’s unlikely to be able to play at his typical MVP level. Titans offense much improved with Tannehill now at QB and the defense is very solid. Expect the Titans to hang around and keep this close throughout. I’ll say a 27-24 Chiefs win.
Bengals (+10): A big time letdown spot for the Ravens after that Sunday night win over New England as they now deal with the lowly Bengals. Cincy now last winless team in football and off a bye and QB change I actually think we see a pretty inspired effort from them today. I don’t see them winning but they should hang around. Expecting a 24-20 type Ravens win.
Falcons (+13.5): Another one of these plays that feels uncomfortable to make but at the end of the day it’s 13.5 points for Atlanta in a division game and off a bye. For as bad as the Falcons are they can still move the ball. They are 7th in the league in yards per game and 1st in pass yards per game. They’ll be able to move it and the backdoor TD will certainly be in play with this offense. I’ll say Saints win 31-21.
Lions (+6.5): I know Stafford is out and that Driskel steps in at QB but I just can’t see what the Bears have done to deserve being -6.5 against much of anyone right now. That offense just continues to get worse and worse and right about now Trubisky’s confidence level has to be as low as any QB in the league. This should be a disgusting game to watch and both defenses likely dominate. That however is already accounted for with the low total. Instead I’ll go Lions with nearly a TD in my back pocket. An outright win wouldn’t shock me here.
