Have been laying low for most of the season so far in the NHL with just 13 plays total. I do have some action for tonight though, here’s what I’m going with…

Predators (-134): On the surface it all looks great for Winnipeg. 12-4-3 record, and 27 points which puts them 2nd in the West. They are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games and have won 4 straight, and have a +13 goal differential. All is fine right? I’m not so sure. On the year the Jets only average 28.0 shots on goal per game which is last in the league. They allow 33.8 shots on goal a game which is 5th worst in the league. Lastly their -5.8 shots on goal differential per game is dead last in the league. Tonight they run into Pekka Rinne and the Preds who are 6-1-1 at home this year. The Preds also have a negative shots on goal differential but nowhere near as extreme as the Jets. They also are a considerably better team on home ice. I think they get the job done tonight and bring Winnipeg back to earth a little bit.
