NCAAF Season: 12-5, +6.5 Units
NCAAF Week 2: 4-3, +0.7 Units

After a great Week 1 and a solid Week 2 I’ll jump in there early for Week 3 with a play on the Thursday night game.

Cincinnati (+7.5): After a big season in 2015 capped by a New Years day win over FSU, and now a sizzling start to 2016 Houston has climbed all the way up to #6 in the polls. I’m not here to take anything away from Houston at all. Greg Ward Jr. is one of the best and most electric QB’s in the nation, they have weapons all over the place at RB and WR, and coach Tom Herman is excellent. This play isn’t about fading Houston, I just happen to think Cincy is very solid this year. I had them Saturday against Purdue in a game they won easily and I’ll think they’ll be incredibly fired up for this one. Every year when a teams schedule comes out there is a game that sticks out, the game everyone circles, the one that everyone just can’t wait for. In the case of Cincy that game is Thursday against Houston. It’s primetime, it’s national TV, it’s a top 10 team coming into their building, etc etc. Motivation and energy should be off the charts for the Cats here. Sophomore QB Hayden Moore has looked very good in his first 2 games completing 60% of his passes with 5 TD’s and 1 INT. The Cats also feature a nice 1-2 punch at RB with Tion Green and Mike Boone who combine for about 130 rushing yards per game. I won’t claim Cincy is as talented as Houston, but this team is far from a pushover. Them being at home with the energy and hype I’ve already talked about is enough for me to bite and take the +7.5.
